Shiraya, or, The Hermit
Shiraya is one of the Six that is actually referenced in canon - in The Clone Wars, apparently. We apparently see her in statuary, fan headdresses are called "Shiraya's fan headdresses", and people say "Shiraya's word." But that is all we know about her - everything from here on is my own hc.
The details of Shiraya's early life are usually considered insignificant in comparison to the later part of her life. The general accepted history is that Shiraya was one of the advisors to a King or Queen of Naboo (sometimes King Dod Veruna, when it is applicable) who foresaw an event of great tragedy and suffering. Having seen this future, she attempted to advise her ruler of this possibility, but was completely ignored.
Time and again, she repeated her words of warning, only to be shunned or named a coward or a fearmonger. Even so, Shiraya attempted to prevent the catastrophe she saw coming (once again, stories may vary, from natural disasters such as floods or solar expansion to wars to plagues to corruption or revolt) until the very last minute... until, having been ignored thus far, just before the catastrophe struck.
And then, having foreseen this, Shiraya removed herself from the world, retreating deep into the forests of the Arind region, where she isolated herself from the world that was suffering for having failed to listen to her, and became a hermit, residing in isolation where she... intended to live out the rest of her life. It doesn't quite go that way, but that isn't necessarily a part of Shiraya's tale, but Rojile's.
The tale of Shiraya is a rebuke: this is what happens to those who do not listen. Shiraya as a figure represents a force for change that could have wrought much had she not been ignored and pushed aside; there is a lot of rhetoric that's kind of like "society if we had listened to Shiraya..." but taken quite seriously. Shiraya is the ultimate figure of wisdom on Naboo, a representation of foresight, great care and devotion to one's cause / people, and understanding.
In some tellings, Shiraya's prophecy (or Shiraya's Word) is understood as her having some sort of foresight of the world's / her society's fangiyen, or its destiny / the path it will always take, and her attempts to warn the world about it a story about the utter uselessness of attempting to interfere with fate itself; the moment of her isolation is then interpreted as her ultimately understanding that nothing she could have done would have been enough. In other tellings, her foresight is a result of her wisdom or her experience, and her retreat from the world a tragedy in itself, as it is not a single tragedy or catastrophe it leads to, but many others when her advice goes unheeded.
Shiraya's symbols include the oréasun flower; Shiraya's fan; and tears, especially red tears. Anything representing Shiraya should be reecâ, i.e. not synthetically produced, and even the use of metals is... not banned, but at least frowned upon.
Shiraya is the God of wisdom; mothers; teachers and mentors; the Arind region; forests; oréasun flowers; flower-growers, flower-artists, and florists; those who go unheard; the old; mental health and people suffering from mental illnesses; paper craftspeople, wood craftspeople, fanmakers, dancers. Shrines to Shiraya exist around Naboo, but especially in the Arind region, where every third shrine claims to be somewhere Shiraya lived / watered plants / picked a flower or something. The Palpatine house were traditionally keepers of a shrine to Shiraya, though not the main branch at the time of his birth.

Luna’s other personas
So my girl Luna has been around in my head for years and has a persona in a bunch of my fandoms. So I’m putting down little blurbs of all Luna’s ‘selfs’ below the cut for anyone who might be interested.
Original Name: Diana Luna Love (her surname was changed for Sailor Moon and she lost her first name)
Star Wars: Jedi/Rebel. Has two lightsabers (violet). Home planet is Naboo, but was given her name at the Jedi temple because her mom died giving birth and her dad didn’t want to get attached when the Jedi were just going to take her to the temple. Luna worships the Naboo goddess Shiraya and often wears a small “fan headdress” to honour her. She also paints her nails white as many Naboo people do. She puts many Naboo cultural elements into her clothes and often wears her hair in different elaborate braids (except in war zones, then she french braids it down her back and hopes for the best). She doesn’t really have a love interest here, but she may some day.
Marvel: mutant! Grew up in England before moving to Xaviers as a preteen. Her eyes were blue, but took on a violet hue when her powers manifested. Is a telepath/telekinetic. Her mutant name is Poltergeist. She eventually becomes a doctor and comes back to the Institute to take over the infirmary and teach (has her MD and PHd in psychology). I always had a bit of fan crush on Gambit/Remy so I always want them to fall in love, but Rogue and Remy are perfect so Orion shows up in this universe too.
Star Trek: is a doctor on the USS Enterprise. Pretty similar to Sailor Moon!Luna and Marvel!Luna, minus the powers - though sometimes I think it would be hilarious to have mutant!Luna or Sailor Amethyst Moon show up on the Enterprise. In this universe I ship her with Bones - he deserves love.
Harry Potter: Ravenclaw muggleborn, best at charms. Not a good flier. Unicorns love her. Depending on the time period I’ve stuck her in, love interests are either Remus (marauders - but I have to kill her off so he can marry Tonks eventually), Teddy (Next Gen), or I bring Orion in for main timeline (he’s a Black in this, and a metamorphmagus!). wand: rosewood with a unicorn hair core, dragon patronus.
So that’s a few of the fandoms I’ve stuck Luna in - she also stars in a lot of my original works and fiction poems because I love her so much, and a lot of my art is of her. I’ve got doodles hidden away of her in all these worlds, she’s my baby girl. Umm yeah, please feel free to ask me questions about her! I also love collaborative writing, so hit me up if you’d like to do something together - with or without my girl ;)
